We spoke to the hotel manager the following morning and expressed our concerns.
We had no idea they were able to move us. There was no communication about moving rooms by text, email, phone call, note in the room, voicemail in the room, etc. We said we were told earlier there was no room to move to so we unpacked and settled in. I called the front desk and was told we were scheduled to move to a different room and they wondered if we would like to move at that time. We left believing all would be good when we returned 9 hours later, however, the TV still didn't work. Once maintenance arrived with a new TV, we were told it will be fixed and we didn't need to wait in the room for them to make the switch. After finding these issues, we called down to change rooms and were told the hotel was sold out due to a conference and there were no rooms for them to move us to. We paid for a junior queen suite and when we got there, the room didn't have a refrigerator and the view was to a wall and roof. The TV didn't work so maintenance brought a new one and hooked it up. My wife got out of the shower, walked to the bed and found her feet black from dirt. The room was dirty to the point we could write in the dust and the floors were filthy. One of the worst hotel experiences I have had any where in the country.
